A visit to a place of historical importance

A visit to a place of historical importance

A visit to a place of historical place is interesting and at the same time educative, Last year I got an opportunity to visit the historical place----- "Taj Mahal" at Agra. My parents arranged the programme for Agra to have a glimpse of "taj" - The world's famous and Wonderful mausoleum. We have also to attend the marriage party of our relative at Agra. I saw the Taj Mahal on the night of Sharad Purnima with my parents. On the night of Sharad-Purnima, its beauty is at its height. The Taj looks very beautiful in the moonlight.
We reached the Taj in the evening and went into the beautiful garden. There stood up before us "The Taj" ---- The wonderof the world. It is made of white marble, a splendid white dome in the centre with minarettes round it.
The Taj Mahal was built by the mughal emperor Shah Jahan; in the memory of his beloved wife Mumtaz Mahal. It is said that it took twenty years to be built by twenty thousands workers employed. From a distance the Taj looks small and delicate like a fairy place but coming nearer, We see how large and solid, It really is.
